My greatgrandfather was Monroe Brown Sawyer whom Married Rebecca Skien and they had 13 children and they homesteaded in Terry Co. TX some of the children were Cristovia, Larue.Fern,Tishia are a few of them Tishia was my grandmother she was Married first to a Jot Akers and later a mr givens her children from her first where Monroe,Gertrude,Genola, LarueCristovia, andtwo sons with second Larue Cristovia Burley is my mother and they had six children four still live in Lubbock area some of the sawyer children married into the Tankersley , and Ithink some of the Brownfield familes the homstead is still there and monroe widow lives there .
