You probably read the posts and noticed that there are a few Chauncey Sawyers. The one that I'm related to is the one who was born in 28 Nov 1807 in Whiting, VT, son of the Rev. Ephriam Sawyer and his wife Polly Parks. Rev. Ephriam and his family moved to Essex Cty, NY and that's where Chauncey lived and died. We don't know much about him. We have proof that he was married twice, and I suspect there may have been a first, early marriage as well. He was married to Lucina Dudley and had Roby, Mary Ann and Lucena Estella. He then married Martha Bigelow and had Henry, Jane (Jennie) and John Bigelow. This is all I know of him. Can you make a connection to this family. There is some evidence that states that Chauncey also had a son named Chauncey Jr., but we haven't been able to find proof of that. The other Chauncey was born in NY and lived in Michigan and in Wisconsin. Let me know how you make this connection and maybe we can figure out which branch of the Sawyer family is yours.
