(I believe illigetimate) and Thomas?? Hester is the daughter of possibly Bird Sawyers and Martha Finney. Thomas married Sarah Margaret Sheffield born 11/13/1872 died in 8/27/1927 in Granite Falls, WA. They were married in Washington County, VA in 1897. Thomas and Sarah had seven children (I believe). One was my grandfather Ernest Sawyer. After Sarahs death, Thomas and my grandfather traveled back across the country ending in Tenn. where they married sisters. Thomas married Annie Ruth Neely and my grandfather married Mary Neely. Any of this sound like it connects so far??
