http://worldconnect.genealogy.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=AHN&db=javan&id=I754 This is the homepage of Michael DesLoges and he has pretty much accumulated a lot of information on Deloach surname. I would love to know the proof of these marriages to Sawyers and where they occurred. Craven County ran North of Charleston to the N. C. State line. Do you have any deeds or anything that shows where Deloach lived? I will look in my laptop as I know I have notes on the supposition of a link. I think Stephanie and I discussed this at one time. It has been a while since I have worked on the family after 1800. I lost all my Family Tree during a computer crash but had most of the information on discs and will check as time permits. I do not have the family tree on this computer. Hi Sawyers, As everyone seems to be watching, I need to post my Sawyer query one more time, perhaps this time, a little "new" info from me. I am searching for Elizabeth SAWYER born about 1805 in Edgefield Co SC. I do not know who her parents were. Woud you? She married John R. DeLoach, either in SC or GA. They were living in Crawford Co GA 1832. They had Elvira and William Whitfield . Elizabeth died about 1834. John R. DeLoach then married Rebecca SAWYER, maiden name of DeLoach, a widow of Craven SAWYER, son of Lewis ( we think). Craven & Rebecca had a daughter Edna, b.about 1820, who later married Moses Yarbrough Pruitt. They also were the parents of two sons, John b. 1826 was the younger and I can't remember when son Wilson was born, probably abt 1822-24. John R. and Rebecca were my great great grandparents, Edna, Wilson & John Sawyer would be cousins. Hopefully someone on this list will have more info for me. Thank you Wanda

How can a DNA test show that you come from the Sawyer line? I already know that I do. Wouldn't it be impossible to know if you come from the first Sawyer that arrived in the USA. I just don't understand how that can happen. I wish I had been with you. Janet PS I live in central Fl.
Hello again, No, Wanda, my Sawyer's stayed in New England before starting "Westward". My sister in law and I followed them to Newport, N.H., before the big leap to Wisconsin. And Janet, do you think it possible that your line came through "Edmond Sawyer" of Maine? Surprisingly, while I was in Boothsbay, Maine, I found quite a bit on the Sawyers at the local Library. My son and I stayed at the Sawyer House there! We live about 75 miles No. East of LA--can see Edwards Air Force Base from our hill on a clear day. Noni Sawyer

HI , I just sent for my DNA kit this morning. you are so lucky to have found all you did on your trip. I agree with you we all stem from William of Eng. then branched off in all directions.Mine went to Glochester MA. this is why I am from James. I went to ME. 2yrs ago and was very dissapointed, I went to the island where my Grandparents were born, my Grandfather and my father. I could,n t even find the old homested, which I knew was on the Northern tip of Vinalhaven.
