Bailey, 1896): Elijah Hill of Granby, CT and Betsey Sawyer of Saybrook, CT at the Chester (earlier a section of Saybrook) 3rd Congregational Church 3 April 1797 James Sawyer and Anna Rogers at East Haddam, Millington Church (2nd Congregational Church, founded 1736) 20 Sep 1756 I'm particularly interested in James Sawyer and who his parents were. The Hicks girls descended from Orlando Hicks and Sarah (McUmber, MacCumber, Macumber???????) who resided in the McGrawville NY area. The Sawyers (mentioned above are all buried in the Eaton Ny cemetary) There may be another Hicks sister Rosa Bradley who was residing in the Cortland NY area in 1962.
