    3. Posted on: Sawyer Queries Reply Here: http://genconnect.rootsweb.com/gc/FamilyAssoc/Sawyer/205 Surname: Sawyer, Hahn ------------------------- There is an ancestral file on them on the LDS site. If you will type in the search box "Celia Hahn" born 1886 at Kansas. It will pull it up for you. You can then contact the submitter for more information. According to the info. there Celia was born 29 Mar, 1886 Mound City, Linn, Ka. It does not give much info. on Ruben. I was hoping to tie in my family with yours but they are not connected as far as I can find.. A quick check of the SSDI has Celia born 25 Mar. not 29 as the ancestral file states. Celia died 21 Jan 1989 at Colorado Springs, El Paso Co., Colorado her ss# 522-07-4955 was issued from the state of Colorado also. Do you know where in Iowa Reuben was born? My Sawyer family was in Iowa also. If Reuben was in Iowa in the early 1870's I would try checking for marriages there.

    2. Dear Judy: I hope this doesn't muddy the waters, but I have a Platts Gawkroger listed through my Looker line rather than my SAWYER. We may have something here. It is as follows: Jonas John Prescott m. Mary Platts Gawkroger (no dates) Children: Jonas (1648-1723) of Worcester, MA; they may have had additional\ children. Jonas m. Mary Looker (1653-1735) born in Sudbury, MA Jonas and Mary had 12 children, one of them being Martha b. 1689 How do we figure this out? My Lookers and Sawyers might be interrelated. This is most interesting and hope to hear from you soon. Regards, Larry Seid

    3. Hi Judy, You should check out http://www.smokykin.com/ged/f001/f24/a0012407.htm. This is an excellent site I stumbled on for researching the royal ancestry of Mary (PRESCOTT) SAWYER. The link is to Mary's sister Martha, who married John RUGGE. There's a huge amount of info at the site. Steve Sawyer in AZ http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Fields/3076

    1. [SAWYER] Martha SAWYER, 1654/55 in MA
    2. I am new to this list? Can somebody out there help me with the Rugges and the Prescotts and the Sawyers? I have John RUGGE or Thomas RUGG m to Martha PRESCOTT (d/o John and Mary [Gawkroger Platt] PRESCOTT) 4 Nov 1654 in Lancaster, Worcester, MA. I have her sister, Hannah, m to Thomas RUGG or John RUGGE 4 May 1660 in Lancaster. Then I found John Thomas RUGGE m to Martha SAWYER 1654/55 on Ancestry.com. I'm thinking maybe Martha PRESCOTT is really Martha Sawyer, d/o Thomas and Mary (Prescott) SAWYER. Did one RUGG(e) m two sisters, or did two brothers marry two sisters, or wasn't Martha a sister after all, but a sister-in-law? I also have Martha b in Sowerby, Halifax, Yorkshire, England and Hannah b in Barbados, West Indies. The next child, Lydia, was b in Watertown, Middlesex, MA. Is any of this correct? Thank you all. Judy Schor Kirkland, WA
