Posted on: Sawyer Queries Reply Here: http://genconnect.rootsweb.com/gc/FamilyAssoc/Sawyer/240 Surname: Sawyer, Beits, Viets, Parkison ------------------------- HORACE B. SAWYER looking for information, ancestors, descendants. His wife was Malinda "Minnie" (Beits/Viets?). They were the parents of my great-grandmother Grace Hannah Sawyer. They are listed in the 1880 Federal Census Index for Monroe Co., Michigan with 7 children, including Gracie and Reuben. Grace married James Robert Parkison and most of their children were born in Arkansas City, Kansas. Several of their children, and two of Grace's brothers, Reuben Sawyer (b. 1869 MI, m. Anna E., d. 1955 CA) and Sherman (b. 1883 MI, m. Eunice, d. 1960 CA), eventually moved to California. Grace died around 1930 and her husband around 1940.
Hello; I am Allan Weare Sawyer. I live in Raymond, NH and I am from Essex County Massachusetts. I am a descendent of William Sawyer of Newbury, Massachusetts. I have the peculiar hobby of locating graves of descendents of Sawyers. I then take digital photos of these graves and save them to CD. Surprisingly there are many still legible from the 1700's. (I've not found any older). If I can help anyone, well, let me know. Thank You Al Sawyer
Hello! John and Priscilla Sawyer of Edgefield County, SC had a son named Elkanah Sawyer who was listed on the 1800 Edgefield County, SC census. Elkanah later moved to Alabama and was listed on the 1820 Conecuh County, AL census. Since, Conecuh County is a burned county, does any one on the list know who Elkanah's children were? Also do you know who they married? Supposedly, a daughter named Polly married a Brooks. I would especially like to find out any information on this sibling. Thanks for any help you can offer. Tim Slauson Eclectic, Alabama
