I still haven't found his father, but I did find his mother in the 1900 Laurel Co. KY census. Here is what I found: Bush Precinct, sheet 19: John Tuttle, b. June 1857 in KY, married 2 yrs., both parents b. KY Barbra, wife, b. Feb. 1876 in KY, married 2 yrs., both parents b. KY, gave birth to one child, one child still living Martha, dau., b. July 1893 Octer (hard to read, could be wrong spelling), son, b. July 1895 James, son, b. April 1898 Samuel, son, b. Aug. 1899 (Barbra & John's child) Margaret, mother, b. March 1832 in KY, widowed, gave birth to 11 children, 5 still living, both of her parents b. KY If anyone can connect to any of the above listed people -- please let me know. I am also looking for John's first wife. She could be either Eliza Sasser or Sarah Taylor. I am leaning towards it being Eliza based on the oldest child's birth date and the marriage date that I have for John and Eliza. In the 1850 Laurel Co. Census there are many Tuttles listed. I am especially interested in Peter (b. 1815), Thomas (b. 1793), P. (b. 1832), Thomas J. (b. 1829), Adam P. (b. 1831), Joseph (b. 1833), and James M. (b. 1837 from Illinois).
