Dear Dixie and others,, About Senator JAMES ("Jim") SASSER of Tennessee. He lived in Memphis for a while and practiced law in Nashville before being elected Senator. Unfortunately, another one of those Republican actors defeated him in the last election. Jim was then appointed by President Cliton to be the United States Ambassador to Japan, a post Jim still holds. I have still not been able to learn Jim's ancestry--only that he is part of the family who moved to Tennessee in the early 1800's. Your cuz, Robert Earl Woodham
