Someone asked about a Smithey Sasser a week or so ago and due to my tremendous memory, I can't remember who or what the circumstances were. Anyway, in going through some old files I came upon the following note... James H. Bodkins married Smithy Sasser on June 28, 1838 by David Weaver. David Weaver was born 1791, died 1854.
