Debbie, You probably already know this, but I thought I would mention that the place known as Tuttle in the various excerpts you have posted is the same as Mt. Olivet. I have always heard that our great grandfather, Arthur Humfleet, was the Tuttle, Ky. postmaster for many years. The Humfleet place and the Mt. Olivet Church and cemetery are just barely inside Knox County, but I assume that the area of the Tuttle postal address straddled the county line. I find it interesting that it is the name of the church (and, I suppose, the old one-room school) that we generally know the area by---not by the name of the post office.
