Seems like their were a lot of John William Sassers. My grandfather (John William Sasser) was born in 1877, son of Philamon who as son of John William Sasser born in 1803. His father was James, born 1775, whose father was William who was Josiah's brother (the Josiah mentioned in the article on the land grant). I think. John W. Sasser (1947)
