Dear Maureen, Forget the Maryland connection. William P. was born in North Carolina and by the time he was born, ALL of the living Sassers in North Carolina had been born there. The William in Maryland in the 1790's is NOT the same as the WilliamS (more than one) living in NC in the late 1700's. Robert Earl
