Did you get to look at the actual Census listing or just the Soundex? I haven't got a clue as to whom Robert and Roy belong. Could this Robert be the same Robert shown below in the Soc. Sec. Death Index? Social Security Death Index: U.S., 1937-1995 Sasser, Robert Birth date : 18 Oct 1894 Iss. : OK Death date : Feb 1970 SS# : 444-12-6723 Residence code : CA Zip code of last known residence : 95050 (Santa Clara area) In an earlier e-mail that you sent me about the 1910 Census, the following was listed: >Robert Sasser 15 b KY brother to Joseph >Joseph Sasser brother to Robert >Joseph Sasser 27 b KY >Ada 25 b. TX >Charlie 05 b KY >Haley 03 b KY >Robert 15 b. KY (Nephew) could this be Eli's son ? > Robert (age 15) can't be brother to Joseph as well as his nephew, so I don't know what is going on here (need to see the originals). Here is what I currently know about Eli Sasser's children and their whereabouts in 1900: John Henry (b. abt 1870) -- Unknown Mahala (b. 1871) -- married to Andy Cheek and living in Clay, KY Margaret (b. abt 1873) -- Unknown Robert (b. 1873) -- Clay, KY James Darling (b. abt 1874) -- possibly in AR or KY Eliza Jane (b. abt 1876) -- Unknown Mary (b. Mar 1877) -- OK with Eli Joseph (b. 11 Mar 1880) -- OK with Eli Eli Jr (b. Feb 1882) -- OK with Eli Rachel (b. Oct 1885) -- OK with Eli Of the older children, I know you can definitely eliminate Mahala. Robert the elder was the only Sasser family listed in the 1900 Clay County Census.
