Sue Lynn, I don't know whether Lisle said the person collected the money from others to fix up the cemetery or whether he paid it out of his own pocket. And--although she thought it was someone from "Cam's family"--perhaps it was somebody from another branch of the Sassers and from another state. In any case, the story was that he was terribly angry over what had happened. It was not anybody from Oklahoma or from your branch of the family who was said to have gone to Los Vegas. As far as I know, he still lives in the Knox/:Laurel County area. And although his last name is Sasser he is more closely related to me on another side.
