It is nice to have this sort of thing in the archives. This will allow someone to search by name. There has been many a time that I have used a search and found lost kin. I personally don't need these because my Sasser tie is prior to the Civil War. I don't mind glancing at them for my other KY lines and then use the delete key. Cousins, As you know, during the last several weeks, I have been posting the rosters of the 47th & the 49th Kentucky Infantry to another discussion group of which I am a part & copying them to the Sasser list. My reason for doing that is because both the 47th & the 49th were recruited from the mountains of eastern Kentucky & I thought some of you might find names of people who had married into the Sasser family. I have recently received a posting questioning whether it is appropriate for me to be doing this. Could I have a bit of feedback from some others to give me a sense of whether or not you find the lists helpful? I will certainly not be offended if people are not interested.
