On my recent visit to Laurel Co., I did find some information that might be of interest to Carl Edward Depew. I have a picture of Joseph Sasser's headstone and I have a copy of Joseph Sasser and Sarah B. Jones's marriage license and marriage certificate. I did notice one mistake in the information about my great grandfather, Abraham H. Sasser ( son of Bardon Sasser). He died July 7, 1925 in Enterprise Oregon . Abe and his wife, Margaret are buried in the Enterprise cemetary. His first wife, Louisa Russell Sasser is buried in the Gilbert cemetery in Laurel Co., along with 4 of his children. Abe and his family moved to Oregon in 1903. Now I have a few questions. I know that Millington Sasser married his first cousin Louisa Sasser (Adin Sassers daughter) on March 6, 1872. I also have a marriage certificate for William H. Sasser and Louisa Sasser . They were married on Dec. 6, 1877. Witneses were Dixon Sasser, Jessee Sasser and Joseph Sasser. The Certificate is signed by Henry Sasser . Which William H. Sasser is this? And who is this Louisa Sasser? Also does anyone know who Sally Ann Sasser (b.sept. 15, 1874) who is burried near Henry Sasser in the old Dixon Sasser cemetary? There is also Emily Sasser ( b. Jan 29, 1922- Dec. 19, 1935), buried near Barden Sasser and his wife Pharby. Does anyone know who she is? Michael Edward Sasser MikelSas@aol.com Elwood IL.
