I have two areas of Sasser interest, both of which originate in Wayne/Johnston Co. NC. My ggg grandfather Lazarus Crawford b.c.1740 Old Dobbs area of NC, d. 1818 Rutherford Co. TN named in his will a grandson, Olin Crawford Sasser (Wayne/Johnston Co. NC) This is a "burned county" area and research has not yielded the names of Olin's parents. Also, my gg grandfather Solomen Grantham (1808 - 1871) of Wayne Co. NC married Emily Sasser (1818 - 1908)9 September 1838 in Hardeman Co. TN. They are buried in Hardeman Co. TN next to John Sasser (d. 1875) and Mary Sasser (b.1819 - 1904) Can anyone provide me with information on either of these Sasser families? Cornelia B. Holland SJVW18B@prodigy.com
