Cornelia B. Holland, Dear Cornelia, I am sorry that I cannot help you with the parents of either Olin Crawford Sasser nor Emily Sasser but I do have a few tidbits that might help you in your search. OLIN CRAWFORD SASSER was born in 1805 in Wayne County. He married NANCY SCOTT in Johnston County, NC on 23 Nov., 1824. They had at least four children. Olin was still living in Wayne County when the 1880 census was taken. The John you mentioned that Emily is buried next to in Hardeman County, Tennessee is JOHN SASSER Junior, born about 1789. He was apparently married twice but I know nothing of his first wife nor their children. He married second to MARY DUNN and had at least six children. Here is a question: could JOHN Jr. possibly be the father of EMILY? She was certainly the right age to be his daughter and the fact she is buried next to him as you say, makes this a very strong likelyhood.
