This last week I visited Henry Sasser and Kate's grave in Higlandvile MO. The cemetery is South of Springfield MO. To reach it take hwy 65 South to hwy EE. Then go East about two miles.. It is located on the North side of Hwy EE. I took some pictures of the tombstone if anyone one wants a copy... My Father, as well as five of his siblings were born there. Highlandville is just north of the Orzark Mountains on a flat prairie like area. Today the town has a population of 722. I also had a difficult time trying to find the cemetery. I had to stop and ask direction several times. The direction posted by the Christain Co. Historical Society were incorrect. One gentleman I spoke to was names Sheldon. He was 80 years old and lived there all his live. He remembers his dad talking about the Sasser's and had always wondered what happen to us. He also said his grand mother had came form KY to Ar to MO. They homesteaded there and the original home was still standing... barely.. If any one has a picture of Adin Sassers grave I would like very much to have a copy.. Thanks Don Sasser
