To all Sassers and Sasser descendents: Several lines of the SASSER family will gather at Clemmons State (Educational) Forest near Clayton, NC, on Saturday, August 2, 1997. All cousins are invited and encouraged to attend. This is a local reunion that has been held in past years but is "broadening" this year to include first-timers who are interested in their North Carolina roots. Several who have met through the Internet and SASSER-L discussion list will be attending and bringing their family histories. We hope to fill some of the gaps in our family trees. The park is located about 12 miles southeast of Raleigh on US Highway 70. The gathering will be held in the park's pavillion. The park opens at 11 AM. Those interested may bring food for lunch. Others will come around 1 PM for the genealogical "digs." The park closes at 8 PM. Please join us for a day of Sasser-talk.
