I just want to make a comment about the Rhoda Smith - Isaac/Solomon Jones connection. There were more than one Rhoda Smith, so it's possible that one of them was married to a Solomon Jones. However, my gr gr gr gr grandfather William Jones had a brother named Isaac whose wife was Rhoda Smith. The 2 brothers were the first Joneses in Clay County about 1800. Their father Vinson/Vincent was in the Continental army. There is quite a story connected with their journey to KY. Vietta.
