Dear Earl and all, About obituaries on our family: PLEASE send me xerox copies of ALL obituaries you can find on our family. This includes any old ones you can find tucked away in family Bibles or scrapbooks, etc. AND current obits. I consider these to be VERY important sources of information. When I began my professional journalism career writing for the ATLANTA JOURNAL-CONSTITUTION, the largest newspaper in the Southeast, the very first thing I was assigned to was writing obits, as all newbies were. It was meant to teach us a lesson: that this is a vital piece of information and that the information should be accurate. Mess up an obit and the phone will ring off the hook, I quickly learned. When you see an obituary of a Sasser relative in your local newspaper, PLEASE clip this out, along with the name and date of the paper from the top of the page and mail it to me. All these obits will be preserved in our Sasser Family Library for future generations to learn from and treasure. In addition, if you hear of a death in the family but don't have an obituary to send in, try to get all the information you can and email it to me so I can include the obit in our Sasser Family News newsletter. Your cuz, Robert Earl Woodham
