Dear Tommy, Glad to hear from some more kinfolks from "down home". If you will send me some more info on who your parents and Sasser grandparents were (with some birthdates also), I might be able to help you. The problem is that the Dothan (Wiregrass area) area has attracted descendants of SEVERL different branches of our family. Some Sasser kinfolks settled in Barbour and Henry Counties (just north of Dothan) back in the 1820's and 1830's. Another branch, descended from HOWELL, settled in Covington County over 50 miles west of Dothan, back in the 1820's. His descendants have spread back east into Geneva, Dale and Houston (Dothan) Counties. Another branch settled in Geneva County also, coming directly from Georgia. Another branch settled in Pike County, north of Dothan and their descendants have moved south into Dothan also. AND some kinfolks from southwest Georgia have also settled in Dothan in recent years. So...if you can tell me who your granddaddy Sasser was and perhaps who his brothers and sisters and if you know, your great grandparents, then I hope I can help. Your cuz, Robert Earl Woodham (formerly of Dothan) now of Columbus, Georgia
