Sasser Hi, This morning after Sunday School one of the men in our class asked if we had any relative in Mississippi named John Sasser. He mentioned that he was the son of the man hanged in Brookline, Mississippi. Mr. Carlisle's (the man in our class) great grandfather ______ Hilton's second wife was _______ Sasser. She was the brother of John Sasser and the daughter of John J. Sasser. Mr Carlisle is the get first names for me if he can; he also said that a decendent of this line is now a U. S. Representative from Mississippi. I don't know his first name. Carlisle said that the hanging was for murder. It seems there was a lot of trouble just after the Civil War when blacks were put into places of authority. When I know more about this "black sheep" I' let you know.
