page 430 This indenture made this 13th day of December in the year of our Lord One Thousand Eight Hundred & eighteen between Kader Pearce of the state of North Carolina & county of Johnston of the one part Whearseth that Squire Kader Pearce for in consideration of the sum of twenty six Dollars & fifty cents to me in hand paid by the Squire Henry Sasser before the signing & delivering of these presents the right & payments in hereof is hearby acknowledged that the Squire Kader Pearce have bargained & sold unto him the Squire Henry Sasser his heirs & assigns forever a certain piece or parcel of land indicates by beginning in the county of Johnston & bounded as follows- Vis On the North side of the little Creek Beginning at a stake in ?as giving line of a patent granted to Philip Pearce for 150 acres & runs with Charles Willings line N ??? poles to a small black gum the Squire Sasser corner thence with his line E 156 1/2 poles to a pine ??? corner thence with Jass Clarks line 5 3/4 pole to a stake his corner thence ? 1/2 poles to a large White Oak Squire Sasser corner. Thence with his line to 5 poles to a stake in his line then W 4 poles too Sq. Sasser line thence with his line N 8 poles to his corner being the East corner of Patent Granted to Philip Pearce for 150 Acres thence with the ??? line of patent N 89 W 162 1/2 poles to the first Station containing fifty one acres. It being a grant granted to Sq. Kedar Pearce. To have & to hold the aforesaid bargained land & premises to gather with all & singular profits benefits privileges and inheritances thers??? Belonging as in ???? appertaining into him all encumbrances Whosoever. The sq.
