Is anyone out there researching the Sasser family of Johnston Co., N.C. and Laurel/Knox Co., Ky. ??? I am working on the following family: Arthur Sasser and wife Elizabeth. Arthur died 1815 in Johnston Co. His children according to his will: Josiah Nancy Edith Sally Elizabeth Ceily Fanny Beady The will has witness Thomas Kirby. Henry Sasser-Friend and son Josiah are the executors. Then the will of Edith Sasser in 1816. Brother Josiah, sisters Nancy, Sally, Elizabeth, Ceilly, Penny, Beady, and "my favorite Lilldy". She appoints her friend Henry Sasser as executor. Thomas & Charles Kirby were witnesses. Josiah was in Johnston Co., N.C. in 1830. He disappeared from there and I located a Josiah in Laurel Co., Ky. on the 1840 census. I am assuming/hoping that it's the same Josiah and if so then he moved there about 1835. Josiah's daughter, Isabella, married Kirby Thomas in 1843 in Laurel Co., Ky. Does anyone know anything more about this family...who Josiah's other children were, who he married, when & where he died ??? Thanks for any and all help you can offer. Patsy
