Dear Jim, Please take a look at the SASSER FAMILY NATIONAL ASSOCIATION's Home page at: http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Hills/9493/sasser.html This will give you an idea of what the family club is trying to do. One of our main goals is to gather and preserve our family history. I would greatly appreciate it if you would send me as much info and copies of records as you can on your descent; along with any other info you have of the family in Crenshaw and Covington Counties, Alabama. You said you would like to learn more about the "Georgia history". I assume you mean that of Howell's father, WILLIAM who moved from Johnston County, North Carolina and settled in Screven County, Georgia sometime in the 1780's. Howell and his brothers lived in Screven County for several years before the family began to expand all over the South. More later... Your cuz, Robert Earl Woodham 1130 Celia Dr. Columbus, Ga. 31907
