Dear Patsy, For you and those who have written about the parents of SMITHEY SASSER and TEMPLE H. ("Tipo") SASSER... It is interesting to note that Temple H. ("Tipo") Sasser, born in 1829 in Wayne County, NC ALSO had a daughter named SMITHA ("Smithy"). I learned many years ago to "follow the names" and you sooner or later find a "connection". Unfortunately, I have not yet learned who the parents of Tipo were. But I now believe that he may have been a first cousin at least of your SMITHEY. I heard from a descendant of Tipo two or three months ago but haven't heard back again. If we can ever learn who his father was, we may just make a connection to your Smithey also. Robert Earl Woodham
