    3. 314 This Indenture made this 22nd day of February Amino Domini One Thousand Eight Hundred Between Thomas Kirby of Johnston County and State of North Carolina of the one part and Henry Sasser of the county and state aforesaid of the other part. Insoforth that the Thomas Kirby for and in consideration of the sum of Fifty Pounds paid money to him in hand paid himself therewith fully satisfied hath given granted sold conveyed and confirmed by their presents doth absolutely grant sell and Confirm unto the Esq. Henry Sasser his Heirs & adjoins forever a certain tract or parcel of lands lying and being in the county and state aforesaid and both side of the head of Black Creek joining William Sassers line Beginning at Black jack a corner in the Grant from there South one Hundred & forty Poles to a stake on corner again on between the’s Thomas Kirby and Henry Sasser in the principle line thus west one hundred and fifteen poles to a fence corner thence North one hundred and fifty poles to a small Pin Oak thence East to Beginning. Containing one hundred acres by condition be the same more or less. To have and to hold the’s land ad premises unto the Henry Sasser his heirs and assigns in clear and simple a manor to all intents and purposes as appears an indefeasible Estate of Inheritance in fee simple and the said Thomas Kirby doth hereby give and oblige myself my heirs Grantors ???? ???? & aforesaid forever to Warrant and defend the s land and promises unto the Henry Sasser his Heirs & assigns forever in witness where of the Thomas Kirby hath hereunto set my hand and seal to the day and year above written.
