We picked up a book like this for another family name a short while ago. It is pretty much as folks have been saying, only we found it to be beneficial for our purposes. My husband is 1st gen. German-American and his father had literally no knowledge of any family in Germany and this book is helping us track down information from folks in Germany. On the Sasser book though it seems that most of us already have as much or more info than they do. So unless you are desperate to track down a long lost cousin and want to take a chance on the book it may not be worth it. You could also just do a Yahoo People Search and do better.
