    2. Don L. Sasser
    3. I am trying to find Annie Jane Sasser, she was married to Norwood Hudson, she had a daughter Sallie Anne Hudson, Sallie was born in Concord, N.C. in Cabarrus County I estimate her birth in the 1860s' This would make Annie Jane born around the 1840s'. If anyone knows this name I would like to hear from you. I really don't know where else to look. Thanks Jamie JoyceUPH1@kimbanet.com

    2. In a message dated 98-08-20 12:58:39 EDT, you write: << Some of the lists like the Irish List people are at each other all the time so I got off that one. "You Americans are this, that or the other." And that would be countered with, "Oh you Irish are this, that or the other." The British List are like that as well. Don runs this list and I think he is doing a great job. Kudos to Don! >> I hear about the same kind of rudeness at the ski resorts in Europe. I hear the U.S. ski resorts especially out west are so nice and polite!!! I don't think I've read anything on here that wasn't appropriate for the list. I usually scan thru pretty quickly. I think we all can tell pretty quick whether it is our line or not or whether it is something we think we will need. You never know what someone out there might need!!! Great list!

    3. Paula, I'm glad you enjoyed my father. He' actually older than 85, and he's very special, isn't he? I am sending you some copies of a picture made about 45 years ago of 12 of the 19 Children of John Wesley Sasser. It was made in Borger, Texas, I was about 10 years old, but it was a very special day for me. I loved all my uncles and aunts. I'm having copies made now, so I'll mail it to you soon. My father is the only surviving sibling. > ---------- > From: paula49@juno.com[SMTP:paula49@juno.com] > Reply To: SASSER-L@rootsweb.com > Sent: Friday, August 21, 1998 12:40 AM > To: SASSER-L@rootsweb.com > Subject: Re: [SASSER-L] Sasser Pictures > > Hi Don, > Please let me know what your costs are for any Sasser documents & > pictures. I spoke with his grandson this week-end & got some great stories & pictures identified. His name is Woodrow Wilson Sasser & it was a joy to talk with him. He is the youngest son of John Wesley & Amanda Self Sasser. He is 85 & sharp as a tack. He remembers quite a bit about his Dad speaking of Barden & we possibly have a picture or two of him. I would love to compare our pictures & hopefully clear up some questions. My address is Paula Casey 7420 NW 103rd. St. Oklahoma City, Ok. 73162 Thanks & please advise of cost. 1. [SASSER-L] E-mail messages are getting lost.
    2. Earl Sasser
    3. To: Patsy, Sorry about that! I thought I did send it to you, but the e-mail messages are going south sometimes. There are lots of things I send to the Sasser-List and they don't go through so I send them twice. Two times my e-mail address came off the list. I sent a message to Don and he was complexed about it as he said, He doesn't understand how this happens. He is the only one who can subscribe and unsubscribe members. And he will get a copy of anyone's e-mail when they subscribe and or unsubscribe themselves. He said he never received one request from me to remove my name from the list. Yet two times my name was removed. I wrote about the page number and the book in one of my many long winded message and I know that many people on the list delete them without reading them and that is O.K.. If one person reads them that is O.K. with me. Almost a year ago a lady wrote in to the list and said that there is to much garbage on the list and she wanted Don to remove her name from the list. She said she did not have time to read all this stuff. Don wrote us all back saying he thinks it is alright for anything to be put on the list as long as it pertains to genealogy or a thank you note for info. Some of the lists like the Irish List people are at each other all the time so I got off that one. "You Americans are this, that or the other." And that would be countered with, "Oh you Irish are this, that or the other." The British List are like that as well. Don runs this list and I think he is doing a great job. Kudos to Don! An another long winded message, so I'll get to it. The book was, "The Heritage of Lenoir County 1981." The page was #6 top left in parentheses (A complete list is in the appendix) is what it said. Again Patsy thanks for the help. [I think I will CC: a copy to the list because some others may be having trouble with e-mailings from the list] Cordially, Earl Sasser ewsass@writeme.com

    3. Patsy: I would greatly be interested in anything you may have. I am the great great granddaughter of Barden so his items are of particular interest. But I am also interested in any and all of the items you have. I have been taking some of the old photos I am collecting and making copies before they are lost to time and memory. So I would be happy to pay you for what you have. At the end I ask if anyone would be interested in some Henry Sasser items that I've collected over the years as my Smithey evidently isn't related to him. I have copies of pictures of Dixon Sasser (son of Henry & Nancy) and his will, pics of Barden Sasser, Arthur Sasser 1818-1899, Joseph Sasser 1861-1895, Sallie Tuttle Sasser wife of Dixon, Lucinda Hale Sasser 1863-1886 wife of Joseph. Some deeds for Henry Sasser, and just misc. items. Is anyone interested in them before I dispose of them ???
