The John Sapp (41) and Hettie Barcus described in A History of the Sapp Family are my 4G Grandparents. Some preliminary analysis of censuses, land transactions, and tax records have led to the tentative conclusions that George (142) was John & Hettie's first child and was born sometime between 1784 and 1790 in either Allegany Co., MD, or Bedford Co., PA. An 1820 census entry for Knox Twp., Jefferson Co., OH, shows a George Sapp, age 26-45, living not far from John Sapp. After that census listing, I've not found further evidence of George.
