George Sapp. Born before 1746 probably in Maryland. Married Christine Texter, c1765 in Maryland. Died after 6 Jan 1811 in Knox County, Ohio. (I have a photocopy of his will, dated 6 Jan 1811 in Knox Co, Ohio.) In the earliest documents yet found, he appears as "Georg Zap," which is strong evidence that he was German - not English, as some other Sapp lines apparently are. He was living in Washington County, Maryland, before 1776. I descend from George's son Daniel: Daniel Sapp. Born 1775? near Frostburg, Allegany County, Maryland. He and Mary Robinson obtained a marriage license 1 Oct 1796 in Allegany County, Maryland. Died 1842 in Ohio. Children of Daniel Sapp and Mary Robinson were as follows: i. Henry Sapp; born 1797? probably in Allegany County, Maryland. Married Catherine ---(?)--- c1825 probably in Muskingum County, Ohio. Died 1860-1870 probably in Davis County, Iowa. ii.
