Just some info on Roots-L. This problem is most with folks that use Internet Explorer 4.0. MS, in their infinite wisdom, made Outlook Express, the mail program, default to HTML. If you want to change it, open Outlook Express, select Tools, Options, Send, under Mail Sending format, select Plain text. I imagine I will be getting lots of these bounces for a while. Also, as a reminder, NO ATTACHMENTS to the mailing lists.-Bill -----Original Message----- From: Tim Pierce <twp@rootsweb.com> To: listowners-announce@rootsweb.com <listowners-announce@rootsweb.com> Date: Tuesday, June 23, 1998 11:11 AM Subject: Blocking Attachments and HTML >Hi, folks -- > >Well, it took almost two months longer than expected, but we're >right now installing a SmartList hack that blocks file attachments >(including VCARDS), HTML messages and enriched text postings. >Sorry about the delay: things have been crazy around here. > >This note is to let you know how it works.
