I am new to this mailing list and would appreciate any information on a Neil Sapp who died in Stuart County, Ga. approximately 1878. My great grandmother was Ann Eliza Sapp, his daughter. She married James Harrison Taylor January 10, 1878, and they homesteaded land in Suwannee County, FL in 1883. We knew from census records that she was born in GA but had no idea where. While back in Florida for a family reunion recently, we spent the day at the Suwannee County Courthouse and discovered guardianship papers where her husband was appointed her guardian due to her having inherited property from Neil Sapp, from Stuart County, GA. If anyone knows anything about this Sapp family, I would really appreciate your help. I was born in Suwannee County but haven't lived in Florida for many years.
