The Sapp men cited in the below post are in fact the men that received Crown Grants in St. Georges Parish. I have not seen where Shadrach received a Crown Grant, but I don't have the books. I have some of the names, and William is supposed to be a brother, hearsay, to the rest, and John is supposed to be the father, still hearsay. I have seen a listing of more of the Sapp family having grants in Burke Co, but it was in the 1770-1780 or a little later, but I can't find the document. This is what I have on the grants: Murray, Stephen 100 acres in St. George Parish Surveyed on August 29, 1770 Plat Book C, page 201 Granted on July 2, 1771 Grant Book I, page 367 100 acres bounded on the northwest by Edward Barnard.
