    3. To those of us that are not very computer savvy, I offer the following: To import a Gedcom file into PAF 4.0, do the following: 1. Determine in advance, where you stored the new Gedcom file, all_sapp.ged. You must know which folder you have saved this file in order to import it. 2. Start the PAF program. 3. At the top menu, click on File, select New. 4. A Create New Family File window opens, the default Save in: should be the folder Data. 5. In the File name: box, give the file a name, ie: All Sapp 6. The Save as type: box will indicate "PAF 3 or 4 (*.paf) 7. Click on the Save button. 8. A new window will open allowing you to enter your personal date, ie, name, address, etc. You DO NOT have to enter any information, but you can. When you have entered or not entered your personal data, click on the OK button. 9. You now have a new, empty database, named All Sapp. At the top of the window, click on File, select Import. 10. An Import GEDCOM File window opens, and the first box, Look in:, you must select the file folder in which you saved the all_sapp.ged file. Select the folder, and a listing will open showing all the *.ged files. Select the all_sapp.ged file, click on the OK button and the file will be imported into your new database. 11. When the importing is complete, a new file will open showing all the errors that occuring during the import. DON'T PANIC!!, just close the file and you will be at the opening screen of the new All Sapp database. 12. To see the names of all the people in the database, at the top menu, click on Search, then click on Individual List. FTM is a little more tricky, but neither is hard. When you do it a couple of times, you will be an expert. If you have problems with the importing, let me know, with specifics. Don't tell me you can't import the file, tell me where you are when you don't understand what to do, and the name of the program you are using. I use Win98, so if you don't tell me that also. Please save this until you know how to import Gedcom files.-Bill
