    1. Re: John & Miriam Sapp of Boone Co. MO
    2. Sandy, I am particulary interested in the John Sapp that was in Lincoln County 1819/1820. Mathew Sapp (my ggg-grandfather) was born in Lincoln County in 1822 and John is the only Sapp listed in Lincoln County near that time. The 1830, 1840, 1850 census lists no Sapps in Lincoln County. I find a John Sapp in the 30, 40 and 50 census for Boone County....with the 30 and 40 census having a son the appox age to be Mathew. The 1850 census tells me John's wife was Miriam. If this is the same John as the John in Lincoln Co. in 1820, he would have been only 18 when Mathew was born. I recall someone on this list or perhaps another mentioning a John Sapp who married his cousin Miriam Sapp. Also I have seen reference to the fact that John's father was Levi Sapp. According to the 1850 census John and Levi were both from Delaware. Mathew Sapp married Elizabeth Watts in Lincoln County in 1842. Where was Mathew and his parents for 20 years? Boone County? Lincoln County living with someone else? If you can give me any leads, theories, clues, I'd be very grateful. Thanks for your quick response to my request! Melody
