Thomas Sanford, by Carlton Sanford (1911) has this family documented to some degree in his appendix (vol 2, pp 1386-1393). He mentions a number of sources, etc. The widow Mary GORTON GREENE was Capt. John SANDFORD's second wife, four children each.
