    1. Re: Green Sanford>Tx.>La.>Matches!
    2. The 1840 Alabama Census for Tuscaloosa County lists a Greenbury Sanford. By 1850 census he is no longer listed, so has either died or moved somewhere else. The 1850 census lists my ancestor in Tuscaloosa County, Isaiah Sanford. Isaiah named one of his sons Lewis Greenbury (as I mentioned before). I have found that Sanfords love to name their children after relatives. I have found a cousin from New Albany MS descended from a brother of Isaiah. He also has Greenbury Sanfords listed in Mississippi. I feel there must be some connection between our Sanfords and yours. Also, there is an Absalom Sanford who was 75 years old living in Fayette County, AL during the 1850 census. Living with him were his wife Catherine, Thomas J. 24 years old, July A., 24 years old and two small children. We have reason to believe that Absolom is the father of Isaiah Sanford. Absalom can be traced back to the Revolution. Does anyone have info on this?
