Hello To Everyone, I posted this query a while back but thought I would give it another try. My ancestral line of SANFORDS goes back to RICHARD SANFORD, born in Stanstead, Essex, England in1533 and died in 1591. My grandfather was HENRY RUSSELL SANFORD, son of CHARLES BOUTON SANFORD and Nellie Cecelia FITCH SANFORD. Charles and Nellie had 9 children, all born in Norwalk, Ct. My grandfather's brother, GEORGE CLAYTON SANFORD was born 8-30-1886. As a child, I can remember my Grandfather always bringing up the fact that he wondered what ever happened to his brother George. It seems George left the family unit at the age of 24 and was never heard from again. As I started to learn a little about genealogy, I decided to try and found out what ever happened to him. I have come across absolutely no record of him anywhere. Perhaps, he changed his name? My Mom, now 80, still talks and wonders about him. If anyone can give me any information, I would appreciate it so much. Barb McDonald
