Does anyone have a Pierce Sanford in their line? He was in Orange Co., VA in the late 1700's. He was bondsman/witness for several marriages in Orange Co. His daughter was Sarah (Sally) Sanford who married James Yates in 1789 or 1799 there. They are my ggg grandparents. Have been unable to trace the ancestry of this James either, there are several in this time period. I cannot find him listed on any of the surname lists, would appreciate any info on him. Other names are Poulter, Ransdell, Kirkland, Pinkston.
