There is no proof as to whose parents Penelope Sanford was. She is believed to be the daughter of Robert Sanford (Robert2, Robert1). Robert Sanford was born about 1690. His first wafe by 1726 was Mary Muse, daughter of John2(John1) Muse and his wife Ann. Robert (3) Sanford died before 29 Aug 1738 and named six daughters. Mary (Muse) Sanford married twice again to John Remy and Richard Flint. The parentage of Penelope has to be proved. I give this information only as a supposition or something to be further investigated. The DAR has a folder "Sanford Papers" with more notes on this, but they do not prove the line. Hilary Westin
