The record from Richard Sanford of Stanstead, Essex, England in the early 1500's, to one of my grandsons, Robert M. Sanford, WA. Much of this for ten gens. is covered with much detail, in the two vol. work, "Thomas Sanford, Emigrant to New England, Anc., Life, and descendants, 1632-4 etc." written by Carlton Sanford, and pub. 1911. These books are in many libraries now, and many more can get a microfilm of the books on loan. Good records, in the form of "Pedigree Charts", is available at LDS Family History Centers in Ancestral files.
