In the book "Thomas Sanford, the Emigrant to New England ..." by Carlton E. Sanford a statement is made "We shall show beyond the possibility of a doubt, that our emigrant ancestor, Thomas Sanford, was not of that Shropshire family" Thomas' parents are shown to be Ezekiel & Rose WARNER. Ezekiel's parents were Thomas & Mary LEWES. Thomas' parents were Richard & Elizabeth ??. From there, there is no evidence to the Mianwarings, etc. A probable graft made by an unscupulous genealogist. Good luck The discussion of the emigrant's ancestry is a well documented treatise of some 50 pages. If anyone knows any different, please let me know. Always optimistic--Dave
