Phebe Jenkins, my gggrandmother, was born in Dry Brook, NY in September of 1829 to John and Abbie Jenkins. In 1851 she became the second wife of Riley Sanford of Halcottsville, Delaware, NY. They had at least two children: Charles H., b. 1857 and Esther, b. 1864 (my ggrandmother). I was not too surprised to find that the death transcript that I recieved for her this week states that she was 78 at the time of her death 30 January 1902, which gives a range for her birth from 1823 to 1829. What was news to me was that there were any names known for her parents. I have, with cursory web searches, found a potential match in John Jenkins and Abigail Hall.
