I am the great granddaughter of Walter Alexander and Victoria Cleopatra Sanford. Their daughter Mary Catherine (Molly) was my maternal grandmother. I know little about my Sanford roots other than, the Westmorland connection and my grandmother having about 7 half brothers. Vernon was one of them (possibly the baby of the family). He visited with us when I was little. He went by the name Uncle Buzz! I believe a lot of the family lived in Suitland, MD. We are in Fort Washington/ Oxon Hill area. I would love more info.
