I have a Thomas P. Sanford who was married to a Mary Rutledge. They had a son Hezekiah in c1780 in Rowan Co, NC but moved later to Greenville Dist, SC where Thomas died c1800. Hezekiah was married to a Priscilla Chambers and he disappeared c1821. He and Priscilla had two sons - Henry Chambers Sanford & Lemual J. Sanford and the family moved to Cherokee Co, AL c1830. Charles, The name Absolum rings a bell with me, it was the name of my husbands great grandfather. I haven't gotten very far on the Sanfords. I am stuck on a Ruffus Alexander out of Shelby County Texas. he was born Jan of 1854. and could be just a generation or two removed from your absolum... Do you know the ones that came to Texas? He has his parents listed as coming out of Al. He named his kids William ALford Robert Lee Pink Absolum George Washington John Henry Edward N.
