The funeral was held at United Methodist Church, Langdon, with Rev. Grant Piel officiating. Organist for the mass was Mrs. Kathy Uhrich and Eldon and Mary Treleaven and Paul Hankey as soloists. Musical selections included " How Great Thou Art", "Beyond the Sunset" and "In the Garden." Interment will be in the Hannah Cemetery, Hannah. Serving as pallbearers were Harley Brown, Gene Brown, Robert Brown, Dale Brown, Herb Weston, Jack Brown and Dennis Restad. All her grandchildren, nieces and nephews served as honorary bearers. Myrtle Christine Sanford was born December 19, 1906, at Paddock Township near Sebeka, MInn., the daughter of Albert and Gertrude (Hoyer) Weston. She married James Sanford October 12, 1929 in Langdon. She was raised and lived in the Hannah area until 1956. She lived at West Covina, Calif., from 1957 to 1968 and in 1968 to 1980 lived at Hannah. In 1980 she moved to Langdon. She was a member of Rebecca Lodge in Hannah and Methodist Ladies Aid. She is survived by three sons, Howard Sanford of Park River, Russel (Bill) Sanford of Langdon, and Orrin Sanford of Covina, Calif.; 14 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Peter Brown and Victor Brown of Langdon; and one sister, Mrs. Phoebe Myers of Langdon. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one son, Myles; five brothers, Irwin Weston, Alex Brown, Bill Brown, Harold Brown and Gilbert Brown; one sister, Miss Gertrude Brown; one grandchild and two great grandchildren. Brooks Funeral Home, Langdon, was in charge of arrangements. ============
